yes. you need the drivers for the device, which came on the CD. it's not compatible with communication manager, so you'll have to set up a DUN. check www.cingular.com/support in the tutorials for the setup.

I upgraded my 8525 with the latest firmware:

rom: 2.15.502.3 -- 4/9/07
radio: 1.40.30.00
protocol: 32.73.7020.16h

and it has a "internet sharing" program which all you do is plugin the phone (or use bluetooth), choose which connect on your phone you want to share (medianet) and click "connect" and bam, your computer is using the phone as a modem. Running windows xp required no extra drivers/effort/etc from me (though I have activesync installed...dunno if that's necessary)

nope, just plug in the phone via usb and do internet sharing -> connect (on the phone)!

Excessively you mean by how much? B/c I have the same plan and my bill comes 800-900mb per month & I havent been told anything. I think I read somewhere here on HoFo someone even got up to 1GB and "they" havent told that person anything.

I dont have the internet sharing app on my phone. how do you update the latest firmware on your phone?
