Memory Problem

I need lots of help.. I can only get like 4 ringtones on my phone before it says that I am out of memory and need to delete something. I have a 1 gig sd card but it only says that when I try to assign the ringtone to a contact.
My phone is a Kyocera Slider Remix KX5
Please help
