Just a quick quick question if someone can answer it...I have a Cingular W810 and just debranded it...should I do the Update service in the menu, or am I just asking for trouble? Just curious because the place I got it debranded at said I shouldn't touch that. According to the software version, I'm running CXC1250316 R4GC010. Thanks in advance for any advice!

R4EA031/R4ED001 is the latest firmware for W810. Generic America 1 region.

So should I update through the phone, or just leave it the way it is? That's really the question I'm wondering about...

leave it as it is. R4GC010 is the latest one. If it aint broke, dont mess with it.

I dunno if you should, but I also just got my phone debranded and am running the same FW as you are.

even though I thought R4EA031 was the newest.

leave it alone. If they release some new firmware that wont allow you to get into the FS on the phone your screwed if you want to FAR XS..
