i have a pair of m-audio bx8a studio monitors and m-audio bx10s subwoofer hooked up to my desktop through a m-audio mobile pre usb audio interface and belkin pureAV AP20800-10 power supply (so they connect via usb). i have a laptop that i use the same monitor / keyboard / mouse for and i regularly switch between laptop / desktop and would like to be able to switch my sound system too, without having them "pop" every time i switch them back and forth. im not exactly sure what the popping is but it sounds bad for the speakers. anyone have any advice? thanks

isn't it the sound of power going into them and turning them on? My system does that too and I was told it's normal

i dont know, its really loud and sounds like its bad for them. maybe not. they're always plugged into the surge protector so the power is on all the time, but it still does it when i unplug the usb from 1 computer and connect it to the other
