I'm trying to convert DVDs (my own recorded ones, don't worry, I'm not ripping anyone off...) into MPEG-4 in order to download them to my phone.

Basically, I want to record stuff on my DVD+RW deck (Philips DVDR 985) and then download them to my phone.

I've been able to use QT Pro to convert from MPEG-2 to MPEG4, but I'm still not clear on how to produce MPEG-2 files that QT Pro would like...
