so excited to finally pick up an 8525 off cingular.com as it recently dropped in price. however I recently moved to an area where I get sketchy service @ best (at most 3/4 bars, 40% of the time no service) and I know that older nokia candybar style phones get better service where I am. I fear that if I get the 8525 I won't even be able to make/receive calls!

thanks for any input on the subject

where does the treo come into the thread? Are you not getting any type of signal? 3g or gsm, if your getting bad 3g service you can install a file called band switch, it allows you to toggle between gsm ant utms. If you can deal without a camera the nokia e62 gets great service . Kind of slow with the menus both great on signal and it does a ok job with pim
