Boy, i was so happy the day i got my brand new chocolate phone. Then one day i got to take a pic with it and the camera does not work . So I take it back to Verizon and i have to wait 3 hours for the guy to get out from behind the freaking desk eating cheetos to take a look at it. So they replace it and i am happy again
Until one day I open my phone and it starts dialing by itself . It must of been me hitting the keys. Then i try opening my contacts and then it goes nuts scrolling, dialing and changing settings all kinda stuff . So i getting pretty pissed now and I take it back to Verison and that cheeto eating bandit is there again . I am pissed at this phone being a POS, and the guy starts giving me the run around , something about it going to take the afternoon to look at it, then he might be able to fix it. I like no it is not your giving me a new phone or canceling my contract . So he tells me that Verizon does not need customers like me, that complain about there customer service . Yeha , that was not a good thing to tell me.

So i am happy with my NEW Samsung m610 and Sprint

yeah, if you threaten people with the old and tired "or else" routine, they usually don't just start succumbing to your every desire. sometimes going to a different store will make a difference. IMO its naive to think that large companies will have 100% quality employees.

Good luck w/ sprint! ive had my fair share of problems with vzw, and i would switch, but no one gets really decent signal in the middle of a cornfield.

I would have to agree, In todays world Customer Service is almost non-existent.
Either way the only reason it is put up with is because people just what to deal with it, and are not willing to stand up and tell them what they think of there service. I for one as a paying customer and if I get bad service I will let them know, they are not taking my money without hearing my voice at least once, even if it make me switch services. Now i see that VZW has a program that will allow you to switch your service and they will pay for it if you do not like what they give you. Just go to show that when company get so big they forget who made it possible for them to be there. You me and everyone other person that was a ZVW customer.

I bet there's something you're not telling us about this situation, like maybe that you went in there ranting raving and raising holy hell and managed to annoy the tech.

If you had gone in there rational, or tried a different store, it would've been different.

Man, people whine too much these days. I don't understand why people let one person sour their entire opinion of a company. Just because one register monkey at Best Buy can't count change correctly doesn't make me hate the whole company.

Edit: forgot to say "Sprint fixes it? Well, let's hope you never have to call Sprint CS or go to a Sprint store for anything, ever. You'll be begging for VZW's CS."

And I would take your money because you would be wrong, lol
If I am paying money then I am going to ask questions about why whatever and if it pisses who ever off then so be it.

This is what I don't get why as a customer should it be left to me to go search of a store that give good customer service. I Pay for that services every month.
If I can't go to the Main store and get the same service as ZVW in the mall. This should not be my responsibility. By the way in my town we only have one ZVW store that does any kind of service on phones.

I have to say I was all ways pretty much happy with ZVW service with exception. There is a limit to the crap that I will put up with and this store crossed the line, saying that ZVW as a whole company is bad don't think I ever said that. I am saying that this manager on this ZVW is a representative and it does reflect on ZVW. I am a representative and if i talked to a client like this guy talked to me, well I would be looking for a new job.

I can agree with you that no matter what, as a customer you are entitle to be treated a certain way that would make you want to stay a customer and unfortunately no matter what company or even business, you will always meet an employee that doesnt fully understand that and sometimes you just have to deal with someone else, as much as it does inconvenience you as a customer . . . on the other hand, as much hype as VZW put into the chocolate it has always been a crap phone, those issues you spoke of are actually "known" issues with that phone's first s/w version . . . it has since been fixed with a s/w upgrade but in all, and of course in my opinion, the phone is still crap . . . if you kept having to bring that phone into a store with some type of problem eventually the reps would have gotten tired of seeing you and given you a different phone model.

Agreed, the Chocolate is horrible. I remember when it was first being launched and all of the people in my VZW-employed fiancee's department were forced to trade in their company-provided phones for Chocolates. That move was reversed shortly thereafter.

Boy do I agree with this!!! Society as a whole is full of self absorbed, holier than thou, me me me, bow down and kiss my a** cause I'm ME, and I feel I'M just SOOOO much more important than EVERYONE else. False since of entitlement...it’s a joke.

People need to get a clue; you can’t have everything you want when you want. Society around you isn’t Burger King...you can't have it your way all the time.

People's mentality makes me want to vomit.

I can agree with the Chocolate leaving a bad taste, but the customer service in my area of Pennsylvania is amazing. Every time I go in the store (which will now be my 3rd chocolate in a year), they always help me out very quickly. My only complaint is that the Chocolate keeps dying...my screens keep mirror imaging themselves, does anyone else have that problem?

i think with VZW employees it's hit or miss.

i've delt with some that see me as nothing but commission, so they're *reaaal niiice* but only care about convincing me of something i don't need, they don't even listen to my real problem.

i've delt with some that are just thinking about getting off work and drinking with their friends, or sleeping with their girlfriend, or playing their new videogame system, or whatever it is they actually care about- their vzw gig doesn't mean **** to them and neither do my problems.

and i've delt with some that were really helpful and content in doing their job well so that they'll outlast the other two types.

i doubt other companies would be much better or worse. i think the main thing is that vzw disables or elects not to offer some features/phones because they foresee trouble. they also charge an arm and a leg for the services that are extra.

however, their network is pretty freaking amazing in my experience and i'm still pretty happy with them. the chocolate kinda scares me because i didn't think about the touch screen messing up in the long run, but i think if you set the sensitivity up and always touch it lightly, you can get a decent amount of usage out of it.

the only thing this thread proves is that he ran into a type 2 employee and didn't address his problem in the right way. his solution was to go to another provider.

i think it's more likely that he mashed the buttons or got a lemon of a phone... both of which should be easily taken care of by the majority of rational individuals.

This might had been a bad experience with the old Chocolate model?

Yes, it was. I am trying to steer clear of LG models though, I had trouble with the V before too. It would send random messages with stupid stuff in it. I switched to the RAZR now and love it!

RAZRs are really good solid phones, but I also think that LG phones are awesome too, I guess it depends on which models you might have got before.. The original Choco was really bad, but the newer Choco is waaay better by a mile.. Too bad due to misunderstandings I was not able to stay with Verizon because we had two Chocos and one MotoMAXX.. Anyways, maybe ATT soon will have some nice Slider phones in their line up to choose from..
