Just bought two. Can't speak yet to durability [though already seem better than the LG & Samsung I replaced] but in terms of function, features & value, these are easily the best phones I've ever owned.

Can't do an apples-to-apples on connections, because I also switched from Verizon...don't know how much of the improvement is network vs. phone. I can tell you I have no complaints.

Main goal now is to find software to allow photo transfer & contacts management; any help here would be appreciated. [Have managed to export photos via bluetooth, but 1 at a time kludgy & slow.]

Definitely agree about the C3b being a great phone. Did you have any luck finding any software for contact management / synching with something like Outlook?

Bought a data cable, but can't make it work. If anyone has had success & can post specifics, it would be much appreciated.

6 weeks in, can still say that the Pantech C3b's are the best [non-smart] phones I've owned, hands down.

Quick update: one of the Pantechs I bought died and I was travelling by car and about 1500 miles from home. I went to a local AT&T store in Las Vegas and they replaced the unit after verifying my online purchase. Can't get much better service than that! Still working on getting the data cable to work, but for now the BT connection is doing the job just fine.

1st I purchased software from cellularservicestore.com or you can call 407-647-0707 and ask for Hunter. You will need a cable-they may have one or get one on Ebay. Install the software, plug in the phone, and let the computer find it. Open the blue icon on your desktop and then open settings. Click find phone. It will.
Now you can get images out of the phone.
Click the "browser" icon at the top of the page.
The phone is on the right and the computer is on the left.
Keep clicking on the right folders in the following order to access your pics:
a:\cam\st\myphoto

There u go!

Talked to Hunter; very helpful, but no success. Loaded & ran PG32XX, found phone no problem...just can't move data. When I try to download photos, says "phone connection problem" & moves the filename only, with 0 bytes. When I try to upload, says "can't transfer files > 0 kb."

Rest of functionality of Pantech software looks just fine...but nothing works. Can xfer contact data, but can't read or edit [& can't find program that will]. Can compose ring tones, but can't play, open, or xfer. Etc.

Have contacted Pantech support, but no reply yet [& don't expect much]. I hope other users request support also...this is a great piece of hardware, but won't amount to much if AT&T doesn't promote harder & Pantech doesn't support better.
