I just purchased a T-Mobile Wing. I have noticed there is some play on the little "Slider screen," is this normal? I have never dropped the phone, except once when a few feet from my hands to a padded surface, on accident.

This is the first time I've seen a post about such a topic. How unusual.

I had that too. Especially when you close it and then put some pressure on the top it feels very cheap. That is one of the reasons why I returned it and got the HTC touch.

wowwow this is my first time hearing a question about a fall issue

There is a first time for everything right?

On the other hand, I think I am still keeping the T-Mobile Wing, I can't give up the keyboard on it.

Well being paranoid that I am, I have asked the T-Mobile store whether the play is normal, they stated the play is normal on both the MDA, and Wing, as well as many other slider phones.

Of course they say that. I never had that problem with the MDA. Check out the Cingular 8525, for example, it is an old slider phone which is tight. Even the T-mobile people here in Santa Barbara said that the Wing slide is not tight enough.

There are several threads on this issue in the T-mobile Windows Mobile forum.
