Help with reading Chinese font on my P990?

Sorry, i am new to here and here are my question: I just recently purchase a SE P990i and it does not come with Chinese installed. My question is that can i install Chinese on my phone so i am able to read the Chinese SMS, Email, and etc. i don't need to have Chinese input. I have tried downloading the M600 fonts and put it into my memory card but it won't work.. Thanks a lot!

easy way to install chinese on the phone is to find the firmware on your phone and then go to the SE site and find the matching language packs. if there isn't any matching language packs available, you can also update your phone to the latest version as i'm pretty certain it has chinese on it.

Try the CDA/8 firmware. It's up to date and allows Chinese input.

First of all, do you know how to find out what CDA you have? I'd do it through SEUS update software.
