The T-Mo Dash is the first WinMo phone I have had. I dont actually have it yet but it will arrive on Tuesday according to UPS tracking. Anyway. when I was using a Treo I had this great free app called Directory Assistant. you just put in what you wanted, Outback in Seattle WA for example and in about 5 seconds it would pop up all the Outback Steak houses in the Seattle area. you could then save to your contact database if you wanted to or just go ahead and call the place. It was so fast and worked like a champ. Does anyone know if there is something like that for WinMo SP? So far I have not been able to find anything like it for our devices. Oh yeah, if anyone does know of a app like this how good does it work??

I used to use that application as well on my Treo. Google maps or live search from microsoft work pretty well for this. It's a different approach, but overall it still provides a similar functionality.

there is a DA app for WM5. Had it on my TyTN but ditched it in favor for the m.yp.com site

Sorry, but I don't have the link for it sinnce I'm not on my PC which is where I keep the bookmark. Will try to put it up later or Google Directory Assistant WM5 which is how I found it

I find Live Search to be one of the most amazing programs ever, also used google maps and it worked real well.
