Can the cingular 8525 receive emails out of the USA

I am looking at the BB Curve, and the 8525 and was told that only the curve could recieve emails while I was on intermantional trips. comments?

Could the cingular rep been referring to pushed email?

The 8525 works fine outside the US. Cingular also has an international data package for the 8525. In fact, the 8525 works in Japan and Korea. The Curve doesn't.
Lately, I've seen sales reps irrationally pushing Blackbery. There must be higher commission on Blackberry sales or something.
