Springfield, MO COR Representative Kudos

Just wanted to drop in here and give some kudos to pretty much all the AT&T corporate store reps here in the Springfield, MO area that I have dealt with.

Although I buy all of my phones and devices through AT&T business services...I do my best to do any voice/data plan upgrades and accessory purchases locally, since I understand you guys earn the bulk of your commissions that way. I do that because I have never come into a Springfield AT&T COR store with a question (no matter how stupid...) or problem with a device...and been treated with anything less than the utmost courtesy and respect. In fact, most of the reps around here carry a smartphone...and are more than happy to share information and "tips" they have found, and information to make my experience more satisfactory and enjoyable.

I am in the customer service business...and am impressed with at least the level of professionalism that most of you guys exude...

...especially those here in Springfield. Thanks very much. You are a big reason I stay with AT&T.

shouldnt that be the expectation? To be treated with courtesy by helpful reps in a store? The store employees get their "thanks" direct deposited into their bank accounts every other Friday.

Hey there's nothing wrong with saying thanks. We all appreciate someone telling us we are doing a good job, no matter what makes its way into our bank accounts.

To the OP...you made my day a whole lot better. I don't work in Springfield but its great to know they are doing such a good job there.

Yes...that should be the expectation. But, as we all know if we have dealt with others in what is supposed to be the "customer service" business...it is not the case 100% of the time...no matter how much is direct deposited into their bank accounts every Friday. I have run into rude, arrogant reps who acted like I should approach them on my knees asking for help (yes, even here in Springfield). I am happy that is the exception and not the rule.

I know most of you guys work hard to be knowledgeable on the vast array of devices you sell every day, and are mostly patient and kind with the public...no matter how rude and obnoxious they can be.

I also live in Springfield MO and done my dealing with the Cingular Folks in Battlefield Mall and they are great folks also very helpful. I highly recommand the AT&T reps at the Battlefield Mall and there are actually 2 booths in the mall but the reps I dealt with are the ones at the big main booth in the middle of the Battlefield Mall.

I been in the Cingular store only once on National St and was treated good there by them too.

One of my roommates has had two bad experiences at the store on Republic and now uses the mall location. He says they've treated him much better.

Like several people I know around Springfield, he's just riding out his contract before switches to T-Mobile.

The Republic store, unfortunately...is just a bump above a mall kiosk. I work in Republic, and do no business with that store at all...after several times dealing with reps that know absolutely nothing, and treat me like I am an idiot. In fact...the vast majority of mall kiosks staff better people than this store does. If you have a phone even slightly more feature-filled or technical than a Razr...they don't have a clue. Sad, but true...

I gladly drive the 20-minutes to Springfield, where I know I will recieve excellent service by knowledgeable and friendly (for the most part) people.
