BlackBerry Email Address

Had a quick question, if one was to add a BIS data plan for a new BlackBerry, would it be the old mycingular.blackberry.net address or might one be able to get some new AT&T version of that.

mycingular.blackberry.net for the forseeable future (it's going to take alot of backend work to get that changed over)

I asked this a few weeks ago and wasn't able to get an answer. Although the BlackBerry business website states that it is now '@att.blackberry.net.'

I see. I'll be adding the feature fresh on my account again on Friday, I'll post if it's at&t or Cingular. If I once had the a BlackBerry plan with an email address, but removed it since I went to a WinMo device, would they have left that one available for me to get again or do I have to select a new one or am I given a choice?

Thanks again.

I went through heck and a handbasket to get my BlackBerry e-mail address back; I ended up being transferred to RIM. If you don't have an hour and a half or so to spare, I doubt it.

Unless you removed the address from your BIS page prior to removing the feature, it most likely won't be available.

Any new updates?

Nope. It's still mycingular if you create a BIS address.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8100/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Just added BIS yesterday and it's still mycingular.

Just a quick update on the issue, my 8300 arrived and I readded my BlackBerry data package and I tried logging into my RIM BIS account and it worked. Previously, it said my account was suspended, but apparently they keep track. So, my old @blackberry.net email address is active. So I guess that's sort of good news.

I asked the rep. on the phone and was told a new BIS account would still make an @mycingular.blackberry.net address.
