Can't access my phone, probably missing something simple

I'm new to modding any cell phones, and can't access my phone. After a bit of tinkering (the USB connection was by default not set to the right connection) I got it connected to the computer right (based on the guide I found), but P2KMan says there's no phone connectionn. It shows up in the modems in the control panel though. What am I missing?

Carrier is Cingular if that's relevant, it's the gold V3xx. S/W Version R26111LD_U_96.71.95R.

Edit: Figured out I needed a new version of P2k Commander. 4.9.C is working greak for me now. http://s5vi.vxxxstuff.com/commander/
