I am trying to setup gmail on my xpress mail with the new at&t 8525. I keep getting a connection timed out error. I have read and read and can't seem to find a way to fix it. Can anyone help? It has always worked fine on my treo 750. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This does not answer your question.
But Xpress Mail is Seven Mail 6.0 I believe (Seven makes it for Cingular who brands it as XPress Mail.) You can try the new Seven Mail 7.0 Beta here:
http://community.seven.com/
Uninstall Xpress mail and install Seven Mail Beta if you want to try it.
The new Seven beta is true TCP/IP push (not SMS based push like Xpress Mail) and does do push with GMail.

Sweet!
It is a beta, so if experience problems please report it to the seven beta forum so they can fix it.

Only problem I can see so far is that when a new email comes in there is no tone to it. It doesn't work with the tone I have setup for new email message! Any suggestions?

Notifications are not working on Windows Mobile Phone edition.
They said it's working in the the latest software that will be released to beta any day now and it should have notifications working.
