I just got a AT&T 8525 and I am having the following issue:

When i try to download mail from my companies exchange server I am only able to do it via the wifi connection. When i try to do it via Media Net I get a
synchronization error 0x80830003. The exchange server is not using SSL. I have made the change on the Outlook Webserver to Ignore Certificates. Is there anything else I can try? When i recieved the phone I had to manually configure the Media Net configuration with AT&T support on the phone.

Thanks for your help.

Strange that you would need to add server settings on a new phone. I use the my isp instead because I usually have problems with the medianet account using a proxy.

Maybe a hard reset and start fresh..

You might have to change your data plan to PDA Connect Unlimited. When I tried Media Net, I was unable to access Server. A switch back to PDA ConnUmlt immediately reconnected me with Server.

Definitely a medianet problem. switch to pda connect you will be happier.

Wirelessly posted (Palm Treo 750: Palm750/v0000 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows CE; PPC; 240x320) UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

Or just use my isp so it doesn't connect through a proxy.

I just got an AT&T 8525 and also had to configure my settings with support. I have a full data plan I think $40 data monthly. I think they just have you type in MEdiaNet when you set it up. Maybe I should call back. It seems to work fine with my exchange server though. I am also getting the "E" when I access the internet so I'm guessing Edge is the only thing in my area (Pittsburgh).

Do you have a MediaNet PLAN or is it just that your connection is NAMED MediaNet? I have the PDAConnect Unlimited and my new 8525 came, out-of-the-box, with the default connection named MediaNet. I have no problems synching with an Exchange Server or doing anything else e-mail.

You can always try using the Proxy Manager to disable the proxy but I don't think that should be necessary.
