My Dash Is dead

anyone else had this problem before,
my screen went black a few times, and then one day, bam, the screen is not viewable, and the color is all messed up as if the screen had have been broken.
Just got the dash less than two months ago and this happens any suggestions of what should i do?
will a prepaid phone accept my SIM Card or not, and no i did not go for the insurance...

If you got it from T-Mobile, doesn't it have a 1-year warranty?
The SIM should work in a prepaid phone.

thx looking for a cheap phone to use as replacement.
