Sorry to ask this question and take up forum space, but the search doesnt work. How do you check the firmware on the GD87/GU87

Turn phone on. As it's searching for network press *#9999#
If you did it right the last # will not show, wait a few seconds and it'll display the firmware version.

Yes that is your firmware version. It's the version all GU87's in the US came with.

Is there an updated version for the GD-88?

Also how do I get euro language and english instead of chinese/english only?

Good question!

I have the GD-88 with A19 still. Does your A38 have portuguese language on the phone menu? Does A39 has portuguese language support?

I am wondering which I should try A38 or A39 ... or just leave A19 and find portuguese language pack for A19 which I think does not exhist, so I will have to upgrade to either A39? A38 and then get language pack ... am I correct?
