8525 Gmail not downloading new messages

Hi All,

This problem just recently started happening with my gmail and I do the send/receive and nno messages download but new message are there (i sent messges to myself to check).
Set up as follows:
Account Info
Acct Type: POP3
Name: Gmail

Server info
Incoming mail: pop.gmail.com:995
Outgoing mail: smtp.gmail.com:465
Domain: Blank

Let me know if I have something wrong here or what thanks in advance

Double check your password, try resetting the device, make sure pop is enabled within Gmail. That's all I can think of right now.

Password is fine I am able to send just not receive on phone? Im logged on at home and im sending from phone but when I get reply's and try to down load on ph noting comes up. Im not logged on and it does the same I can send and people receive my messages but when I go to download new messages nothing downloads. then I go online and log in and there are new messages

I do know that you can only download Gmail messages once -- E.g., if you download them on your PC, then they usually won't also download to your device. First come...

Do you have POP enabled on your gmail account settings on the gmail page?

You can also remove the port settings after pop.gmail.com and smtp.gmail.com

Also, add this to your username:

recent:user@gmail.com (replace user with your username)

This will only download the recent messages.

Also make sure on your device that you have incoming and outcoming servers require authentication.
