cant get my 8525 to connect to the network...help please!

I bought the 8525 last week when I ran into the premier sale (it came a day later, at&t branded with the new rom) anyway I have a router for my laptop and I had the option of connecting through wifi or the 3G network. today I've been trying to get on through the network but it keeps saying cannot dial or something similar, I went to the settings but I have no idea how to go about correcting it. it is named media net and its using wap.cingular....I do have a pda plan if that helps you guys... any solutions?

I had same problem. Even though the ROM showed newest it wasnt. I updated with ROM on HTC site and everyhing worked perfect after install.
