ATT discontinuing Curve?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I know someone who works at ATT that held a curve for me to purchase. I saw her at Wal-mart yesterday and she asked me how I liked the phone. I told her I love it and have not had any problems with it so far. She told me that she found out that day that they are no longer offering the curve. She is a manger that I have known for over 10 years, so I do not believe she is making this up. She had no further info.

Anyone know if this is true?

Either she misspoke or she misunderstood something someone told her, because I cannot see a reason why they would discontinue selling a device that hasn't even been on at&t for a month yet.

All I know is that you can pick whatever number of at&t employees, ask them a question an get a number of different answers...

Perhaps she should let their webmaster know that the Curve is still on the at&t site!

Maybe she was drunk and meant "discounting". I saw the Curve for $99.99 on contract through NewEgg.com last night (AT&T authorized dealer). Or perhaps she's referring to the 7290 which was actually, 'curvier'... who knows. Postcount +1.

... not to mention there are commercials several times an hour during the hours I am at work.
