So that when they do release the WM6 labled at&t branded phone we can call the "warrenty" department and trade in our phones for something that works normally.

Thanks AT&T for letting us borrow these phones while you created upgrades and equipment that actually works in the meantime.

I remembered we biatched like mad dogs to get the 8525 out but man phone freezes and a 2 minute battery life sure have sucked balz for this long.

And just what about your phone doesn't "work" as it is now? If something isn't "working", why not have that addressed now instead of assuming that an WM6 upgrade would fix it?

That is, unless your phone is "working" just fine, and this is just another rant begging for WM6 for no other reason than it being WM6 and you having WM5. What are the odds of something like that being the case?

@bassthumpa very well put. I have been pleased with the 8525. Fabulous all around phone and PDA. When and if WM6 comes out then we will have a bonus. My suggestion is to go to XDA and see if they have some tweaks for you.

nope Cingular / at&t has put me through this and my reward is when my FREEZING phone has a viable upgrade I am TRADING IT IN...

i dont really get it...had the phone for 3 weeks and have had to reset it twice....
where are all these ****** 8525's coming from?

In addition, for the most part PDA phones need to be charged nightly..if that bothers you then don't jump in the water.

I have had the 8525 for 2 weeks. I put wm6 on it from day one. the only problem i have is that PIE loads pages VERY SLOWLY. as for everything else this is a wonderful phone. not as good as the nokia e61 but it will do until i get a e90.

I have been running Windows Mobile 6 since about 8 weeks ago. Works just like 5.0 but handles switching between MEdiaNet and Wifi better and is MUCH faster!

would someone call cingular or at7t and ask them if they have any real timeframe as to when this wm6 update will be released?

If you have access to the internet you must be able to find yourself a phone.

sure you can... just tell them you are considering switching and you are curious to when it's coming out cause that will really persuade you to make the jump
