I have read alot of forums about Palm dieing off and being a has been company. I am seriously considering the 755p but am starting to have have some reservations. How is the support going to be in the future? With the layoffs how is their customer support going to be? Will the company even be aroung? Need some of you to put my mind at ease. Thanks in advance.

I think you'll be okay if you bye a 755p.
It more or less deals with their lack of upcoming products (i.e. a linux powered handset and not the crappy folios).
Palm will get swallowed up by a competitor before they go belly up.

Palm is here to stay, no doubt about that.

I think Palm's latest offerings are pretty safe, 680 for GSM is nice low-end Treo.
750 for GSM users is a nice high-end Treo and a nice overall smartphone
755p is the ultimate offering, too bad its CDMA, and I cant use it on a GSM network *virtual tear* lol

rumor has it there will be a palm based (to take the place of the 755p) on the GSM side.
it may even feature the new palm OS.

I ended getting the 755p and my wife got the 700wx. I am so happy I got the 755. So much easier for me than the windows mobile device. Hers seems more geared for business mine for fun but functional yet for business.
