Problem playing videos on 8125

I have an 8125 and am trying to play divx avi files on both Core Player 1.1 and TCPMP 0.72. When I try to move ahead in the video by either fast forwarding or moving the playhead that app freezes and I get the following error:

Video files (AVI, DIVX, GVI):
Index corrupt. No seeking possible!

I also have problems with the avi files freezing midway through viewing. My brother in law has an 8125 and is using the same avi file and player that I am and has no issues. I tried reformatting my card and tried reinstalling the apps. I get the same exact error on both TCPMP and Core Player. This is driving me nuts so if someone can give me a hand I would really appreciate it. By the way, I tried installing the app on both the card and the phone and the same thing happens.
