I just got the w810i and i have no idea how to put movies on the phone, please help.

u gotta convert them to 3gp google and find a coverter i use IMtoo or sumthing along those lines...

i tried this but it only coverts 20% of the video because it wants me to pay for the software, is there anything for free?

ya i tried a few now but they all only let me convert a small amount of the video, and when i try to put that clip on the phone it still doesnt show up, is there a specific way or folder?

i put mine in the video folder...again i use IMtoo and it works perfectly fine...

We are both at the excitement of our 1st SE w810i (I've ordered mine and am expecting it for next week). But still, as for the videos, since the 810i supports mpeg-4 videos (so same video format for the Portable Playstation, PSP), use the same legal software that's used to create mp4 videos for the PSP: PSP video9. Go to www.pspvideo9.com for that. It's free. Of course, your DVD should be a non protected one. It's not legal to take out protection from DVDs, so we won' t get into that.
Im too is commercial software. So that's normal you get the demo of the software just doing part of the job.

does SUPER let you conert the whole video, or just part of it?

You have to use an older version of Super, because of the new version does not support the proper resolution to fit on the W810i(174x144) I think.

can someone please explain what settings to set Super at.

I 'm having trouble finding the right settings, i'm trying to convert vids for my P990.

Well I wish I could help, but you may need to use the search function to find one for your phone. I only know the settings for W810i.

thats cool,

can u maybe explain the process to me, like what things you've selected, etc...

because Super doesnt let you specify the device, it just says sony ericcsson.

If you could explain what you do to get good results, then i can probably mess around with that to see what i can get

Howcome the Super build 23 doesn't encode the full length movie. I tried one and it did a bit less than half. I put that on my phone and it works but I would like the full length movie. Any reason for this?

Dunno, I never used it. There's a random skin and bones program made by japs. You drag in your vid, set the settings (There's a ton, I forgot which suite to use, you'll have to experiment) And it converts. It only wont do wmv's though...
And by skin and bones, I really mean just bare bones.
