Selling my SK3... Bidder Had a Question. Help Please =)

One bidder was asking me if it will work in Canada. Im under the assumption from the FAQ that it will work except for data. What exactly would the bidder who is in Canada need for it to work completely, to get it unlocked? Is this achievable or a process? Thanks in advance

it will not work in canada in terms of data and im'ing, regardless if its unlocked. it will only work on danger servers and i believe only tmobile users have access to danger servers

It doesn't sound like your Sidekick is unlocked, so the answer is probably no

If you have to ask about unlocking, than it will not work in Canada.

I am not sure if it will work if it is unlock though... But there is a carrier in Canada (T-mobile?) which sells a renamed version of Sidekick 3 called HipTop 3 (?). So it will make sense that it might work in Canada if it is unlock but I am not sure.

If you want to get a quick and better answer, I suggest that you go to http://www.hiptop.com/ . They cover everything that is related to Sidekicks.

Congratulations to you that you come to realized that Sidekick 3 is junk and now selling it. What cell phone did you got to replace it?

iPhone, on Friday. Only used my sidekick for texting and browsing since on the nextel both of those were near impossible. Nextel contract is finally up, as well as my TMo, so iPhone will replace both pieces of crap, as well as having to carry around my outdated ipod mini. Sure its expensive, but alot easier than walking around with 3 seperate devices

Yeah, good luck with that. I think, after discovering how HARD it is to type on a touch screen without the tactile feedback of a REAL keyboard, that you'll quickly grow tired of the iPhone, and come running back to a Sidekick!

there is no tmobile in canada, its fido, that USED TO carry the hiptop 2 (sk2) but they DO NOT carry the SK3. either way, it will not work in canada, regardless if its unlocked.
