Have you tried changing the picture settings? They're not going to be 10+ Megapixel grade pics, but they should improve.

Also, so long as you don't expect anything too unreasonable, the sidekick shouldn't "suck" for you

the sidekick 3 camera is seriously lacking image quality in comparison to todays phone cams. overall the camera is poor. the sidekick 2 camera was much worse. the sidekick 2 camera is so bad i can not believe Danger even put it on the phone.

i feel that the id has better quality for its camera...and guess wat? it doesnt have one...lol...goes to show you that danger wasn't really focused on the camera...it was like an incentive, an incentive that many people would rather not have

with enough daytime sunlight the sk3 pictures should improve.
for me it tends to produce better pictures with sunlight

Exactly! Granted, it's still NOT the world's greatest camera, it's good enough for those quick shots. Besides, if you bought a sidekick for its camera slone, you seriously need to rethink your purchases.

I could not stand the camera. The worst I have ever seen. I only liked the IMing program, that's all I miss. The camera was pretty horrible.

Those two comments have to sum up the SK3 for me! The Sidekick3 camera has got to be the absolute worst camera i've ever seen put into a cell phone in my entire history of cell phone cameras.

It's not because the camera is horrible quality. It's more or less because the resolution on the SK3's screen is so bad, it makes the pictures look low res and jaggy.

exactly DDRmacintosh, tht is a very true point, i have seen an sk3 picture in daytime put on the comp and the picture didnt look "horrible", but it still was pretty bad. But IMO, the SK3's screen is more of a joke than anything put on that brick w/ a keyboard.

The Sidekick3 camera is HORRIBLE.
and im sorry, even for being a 1.3 meg camera I've still never seen worse on any other 1.3 camera phone I've had.
like someone else mentioned too, should've done some research, its only one of many things that the SK3 makes look bad for a phone.

Trust me, I'd kill for any phone like a SK or Helio Ocean and not be pummeled with data charges in Canada. Hopefully some American providers come and liberate us.

The Ocean looks amazing as a phone, but it's keyboard doesn't look as roomy as the SK.

i was surprised with the oceans keyboard, much easier to type on than it looks. i thought the same.
