I am maybe looking to upgrade from a smartphone to a blackberry 7290. I currently pay $20 a month for unlimited data and something like 200 texts (I wish there was a better text package) I am not a business customer and could not find anything related to non business packages for a blackberry plan. Could anyone point me in the right direction, or tell me what to expect?

You would probably get the BIS-Blackberry Internet Service data plan.
its either 29.99 or 34.99 depending on the promotion (biz customers, voice plan, etc)

For cingulars blackberry data plans its 29.99 and that gives you unlimited data and unlimited email.

Am I correct in stating that the new text message plan is unlimited only to other cingular people (is there even an ulimited text play?)

With the plans quoted in this thread, there are no messages included.

For $40 you would get unlimited data and 1500 messages. For $50 you would get unlimited data and unlimited messages to anyone.
