I have a third generation ipod and I decided to wipe everything clean for it. I then saw a picture on the screen of the ipod being connected to the wall but the problem is that I no longer have the ac adapter and now it doesn't want to turn on. Is there to get around this with out having the AC adapter?

i had the exact opposite problem. i couldnt get my ipod to turn off. it was like that for a week and the battery would just drain all the time. I returned it for a new one and now im selling it and getting a zune. hoo rah

Well this one is really old. I looked online and when you do a reset, I guess you need to plug it into the wall or something. I've tried to plug it into my computer and nothing happens. Guess I'm gonna have to drive to my sisters place just so I could use her AC Adapter lol..

Your ipod needs to be plugged into the wall in order to flash the firmware.
It will not clear until you plug it into a wall charger ONLY.

You can get cheap chargers on the bay.

I run a small iPod service on www.kinetic-connection.com
if you need batteries replaced, displays, or new hard drives, etc.
I have all of it.
