RIM 8800 users, a few questions

AT&T has the 8800 refurb up for $125. I went to go try it out and within comparison to the 8700C/G keyboard, it's very cramped. The Trackball is ok in comparison to the Scroll. But, the keyboard is very annoying in comparison to 8700 or Nokia E62.

So, a few questions;

What device did you upgrade from previously?

What's your opinion on the keyboard?

What was the learning curve for the keyboard for you?

I have had bought 5 phones in the past year, trying to find the right phone, and I have finally found one that I am happy with. Before I bought my 8800 I had a Treo 750, Blackjack (I still own), T-Mobile Dash, and a few others. The 8800 is by far the best phone. The keyboard was a big change for me, because I have very big hands, but after a good weeks use I become comfortable with it. Now its not an issue for me. If you still think the keyboard will be an issue, I would go for the Curve if I were you. Another thing, the trackball is great, its like having a mouse on your cell phone, its a huge upgrade from the scroll wheel.

Well I, like you have big hands. With the 8700 or e62, I can probably bang out at least 45 characters in a minute. With the 8800, that number went down to 15. Yes, I agree the trackball is nice. But, it's not a feature to somersault over.
