I've heard it doesn't have a life timer feature.

I just read again that it doesn't. I also checked my C56 and it doesn't either unless I'm just blind.

I know but I thought it should then also work for the C56 since *#06# works for many Siemens phones for checking f/w.

where can you find the lifetimer on S55?

Posted by: carsmovies

Go to menu 2-5.

Posted by: MaxR

hehe, sorry for the really stupid question I asked... but this lifetimer could be reset... so I can't really tell how much my phone is used if someone reset it before selling it to me?

Yea but so can almost all phone lifetimers.

Posted by: MaxR

I don't know about that, I thought there is a life timer for Nokia phones that could not be reset... at least not without special equipments/software? or it's just my lack of knowledge?

Posted by: carsmovies

As far as I remember with my previous Nokia's you could reset it but maybe I'm mistaken.

Posted by: Synncere

I have been able to reset every timer that I have come across on mobiles including Nokia...

That's a tough one... thats when you gotta judge someone's character.

So where is the lifetimer or ANY timer on the C56 for that matter?

Posted by: urameatball

uh. just tried *#05# and here's the result:
2207h 50m 51s
This phone just came back from repair!!! I think I got jipped!

Why don't you consider switching to the Siemens C56?

Posted by: StriderHiryu888

Is there an individual call timer for the m46? I haven't been able to find a way to activate it... unless Rogers is a ***** and locked it out

Posted by: Synncere

go to http://www.my-siemens.com they have the manuals there in pdf format... it should tell you how to access individual timers. It should be in the call info menu if I am not mistaken.

Posted by: StriderHiryu888

I read through the manual, but couldn't find anything...

Posted by: urameatball

woe, I just talked for about an hour yesterday and when I checked the lifetimer again this morning, it turned to : 2210hr 47m 28s.
I think the lifetimer on my phone is a LITTLE fast!
Or my second theory is that timer starts counting whenever the phone is on. that would make more sense
