whats so great about AIM on the sidekick?

I always read that AIM on the sidekick cant be beat. Ive never used a sidekick and wont get an opportunity to (they dont carry them where i live) and i cant seem to find screenshots or demos online. what about AIM on the sidekick that makes it better than other devices?

It simply works the way it's supposed to. You receive messages (most of the time) instantly, and same for when you send. I guess it just works more like it works on your computer...

its actually really great, i wasnt much of an AIMer on cell phones until i got the sidekick.

It's the closest you can get to AIM on a computer. Great keyboard, instant and unlimited IM's, full buddy list, away messages, even buddy icons.

+1, ironically all my friends use msn messenger or yahoo messenger so I nvr used it when I did have a sidekick.

AIM on the sidekick looks great. seems close to using a desktop. thanks guys i was curious having heard a lot about it but never trying/seeing it in action.
