$100 off Samsung BlackJack on Premier

I have the following promotion listed in the premier account
$100 off Samsung BlackJack with Unlimited Data Plan and Voice Plan*
Requires activation on the Unlimited Data Rate Plan plus any wireless AT&T voice plan with a 1 or 2 year agreement.

Did anyone take advantage of this promotion? If so, I have the following questions:
I am trying to upgrade a family plan line to this phone, so if I add the phone to my shopping cart with a 39.99 voice and 39.99 data plan, will this make it a separate individual line?
Would it be possible to convert it to Family Plan afterwards?
Is it possible to take advantage of this promotion and keeping the line in family plan without going through extra hassle?

I've done that and they did NOT update my plan and make it a separate plan. They just left my plan alone. I did talk to one person who said they made it a separate plan, and all he did was call in and ask them to put it back, that he really "just wanted to add data to the existing line."

So the answer is YES, if they make it a separate line, you can have it put back on the family talk plan.

But you may get lucky and they won't even touch you plan like they did with me.

And no, I've even talked to Premiere tech support and they don't have any other method that lets you avoid this hassle. But I think it's worth it for the $100.
And you can still send in the mail in rebate on that as well.

EDIT:
It's totally worth it to do this. I got my Treo 750 for $175 after MIR.
$400 initial price
-$100 for the data plan (must pick new voice/data plan as mentioned in OP)
-$25 for premiere orders
$275 At check out
-$100 Mail in rebate
$175 after MIR.

My wife's Treo 680 was $50 after MIR. NICE!

RF9, Thanks for the clear and to the point response!
Side question, since you're using Treo 750, how do you like it overall, and how's the battery life?
Thanks once again.

I really really like the Treo 750. I had an 8525 for a few weeks and change over to the 750 because I liked the form factor and keyboard better. I had a Treo 650 and 600 before this so I was used to the Treo style.
The Treo processor is a bit slower than the 8525 (which has one of the fastest) but still adequate. And I chose the 750 over the Blacjack because I wanted Windows Mobile full Phone edition with a touch screen vs. the non touch-screen with Windows smartphone edition on the Blackjack. Personal preference.

Battery life is comparable just about all WM PDAs from what I can tell. You get about one full day off one battery and have to charge it nightly. An uber heavy user will burn through it in 6-7 hours, a light user can almost go 2 days.
I imagine the dash gets way better battery life.

Despite my appreciation for the 750. I'm toying with the idea of getting the HTC Kaisser when it comes to AT&T. Or do I wait for the "Treo 750 refesh" to come later this year and see what that's about? If the Treo 750 refresh will have a 320x320 screen like we all hope, I'll probably hold out for that as my next upgrade.
I think I'll wait until I find out what the 750 refresh will be, and that won't be for some time. But the Kaiser looks tempting. Though the slide out keyboard design which is a bit of a pain at times.

If you're coming from a dash and really like it, I don't see why you wouldn't like the Blackjack just the same. But if you're hoping to move over to a touch screen WM device, the Treo is the best hybrid between like an 8525 and a dash/blackjack style form factor.
