i am a little inexperienced with cell phone technology and am starting to learn a bit as of this moment. but im sure someone here can help me with my situation. currently, i am using the Cricket network. i am shopping for a new phone and would like to buy one of the following:

or
http://www.buyawireless.com/newmol7slblg.html

i understand that CDMA is what technology cricket uses. but these phones are unlocked, i read that unlocked phones can be used on any network, as long as you get the SIM card for that network. will i be able to get a cricket SIM? will those phones work with cricket? or will i have to stick with the only phones they offer me? thx in advance

CDMA does not operate with SIM cards. So if you buy an unlocked phone that needs a SIM card it's not going to do anything for you except be a nice paperweight.

That's as much as I know, but there could be a way around that I've never heard of. I'm pretty sure though.

phones that use sim cards are gsm and will not work on a cdma net work. let's see alltel / uscc / verizon / sprint / are all cdma net works and cdma phones are locked to carriers. i hope this helps
