Been quite a while since I checked the tech scene. What are the more recent 2007 updates relevant to the 8525? Is there an official WM6 upgrade? Is there any safe upgrade to stereo bluetooth quality?

There has been an official ROM update but not with WM6

The WM6 is still to come. I've read it is coming Summer and Fall 2007.

For better Stereo BT, these are the solutions I have:
1) Sleuth's A2DPFix Cab (fixes the skipping problem)

2) Some registry changes from this article (to improve sound) - Specifically: HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/A2DP/Settings
UseJointStereo=0
BitPool=58
MaxSupportedBitPool=80
I used Total Commander to make the changes

3) Using Pocket Player (vs. WindowsMediaPlayer) sounds better and the controls seems better.

Some people have experienced MicroSD card issues with the newest update. The problem appears to be related to MicroSD cards manufactured in Taiwan; cards from Japan appear to be OK. Note most Sandisk cards are from Taiwan. Kingston cards can be manufactured in either Japan or Taiwan.
The symptom is that the card will disappear while in use or when the phone is suspended.
