I've been looking at the Siemens cordless phones and I was wondering if european and north american phones were the same. I'm interested in a gigaset micro and I was wondering if it would work with my existing north american gigaset basestation.

Basically I was wondering if their telco systems are the same as what we use here, or are they totally different.
