It's lacking some key features and the screen resolution is a little to be desired, but I like the phone as a solid phone.
After I created a custom home screen and got used to T9 all over again, I'm digging it. I go through a lot of security check points and this gets much less Eagle Eye as opposed to my TyTN II or Dash. For someone wanting a windows mobile smartphone with push email and all the great WM6 functionality without looking like nerd-boy for having a QWERTY phone, it's a great phone. CONS: SLOW processor (pull up a contact and go to change the ring tone - go make some coffee - walk the dog - wash the car - and it will PROBABLY be ready to go when you get done - but not guarenteed). Not 3G (which I'm really used to but neither is the Dash). AT&T's phone identifier recognizes it as an HP PPC PDA w/ QWERTY (which could screw up your data plan if they start to care about that sort of thing). But, I'll say it again. For a small, light phone with all the contact, calendar functionality with PUSH activesync, it's my first choice. |
