k1m mp3 ringtones?

alright, verizon is the carrier, phone's a K1M. I'm fairly new to this kind of stuff, so keep the kiddie gloves on when flaming. anyway, I'd like to use some of the mp3's currently on my computer as ringtones. I have an iBook, and the bluetooth file transfer protocal is flawless except for one thing. when i transfer mp3's to the "ringtone" file in the KRZR, it puts them in the "audio" file, and i'm unable to find them once they're on the phone. i've tried pictures, and animated gifs, and those work perfectly. also, p2k doesn't work on my computer, and i don't have access to a pc. is there any way to reflash/unlock my phone so i can use mp3's as ringtones?
