6315i: which sync/charge cable?

I just picked up a 6315i through Verizon yesterday, and am wondering with which of the following cables I'm better off. I already have my own 2GB microSD card and will use a card reader to move music/video files if I ever wish to do so (per the wiki on this site).
LG style cable:

Verizon VCAST music pack for $10 more:

I could care less about the headset, if I ever play MP3s on this phone, it would be via a 2.5mm AUX cable for my car.
Hopefully, if someone ever figures out how to get it to work via BitPim, I could backup my contacts to my PC, perhaps even make transfering media to the phone easier if the microSD card can be accessed via the cable.
Anyways, would the LG style cable work for at least charging my phone? Is it identical in functionality to the cable (outside of software) that Verizon includes in their music pack?

Hi, welcome to HoFo.
Nokia 6315i is in fact, a rebranded Pantech PN-E330. So I've moved this thread to the Pantech section here. Hope more relevant help tips will answer your questions.

Thanks, knew that but didn't know we had a Pantech section...
