Voice dialing w/ Firmware 011

After using firmware versions 04, 05, 08, 09 and 011 I have noticed something strange and just wanted to know if it was me experiencing this or not...

On previous firmware versions I had no problem recording voice tags whether it was for a caller or functions like Calendar, Tasks, etc... but on 011 using the existing tags all work fine but recording new ones for functions like BT or Internet or whatever it just doesn't match on both recordings no matter how many times I have tried... and yes I know they have to sound the same... I have done it plenty on other firmware versions

I am curious if it's my fone acting up only or some weird quirk with this firmware version. I'd appreciate your feedback.

i know what u mean...it's very sensitive with fw 11, but i managed to save 2 voice tags so far....the first one took me 3 times to do while the 2nd one took me twice

I just upgraded to fw 11 last night and I had to re-record calculator. I tried like 4 times and I ended up just using "calc" instead cause "calculator" was just too long.
I don't think you're imagining things...

Thannks for the responses all. I went back to 08 today and tired out the voice tags... easy easy... so it must be a quirk with 011.

ditto for me too. I could not for the life of me record the word voice mail. I had to change it to voice then it would work. I guess fw 11 is a little sensitive to two syllable words.

Thanks Baker... that seems to be the only quirk with f/w 011 well IMO anyways

If the firmware 11 is not that great, which firmware would you recommend and where can I download it.

Firmware 011 is good... it's just the quirk with the voice dialing... other than that it is very stable but if you don't want to use 011 then use firmware version 08. It is very stable and extremely reliable. Check the stickie it tells you where you can get the firmware upgrade. If you want to know more about the various firmware read the threads about f/w 08 and 011. There is also misc info on it in the faq.
