Yeah, I think I'm gonna trade in my pearl to get the sidekick. I've had the sidekicks in the past and I have never been that impressed by them, the pearl is my first Crackberry and I am in love. The thing is with the pearl (that is a known problem because I can't do a exchange on my phone for the problems) is that VERY often the text messages delete themselves and then you can't even text message because it'll delete, and you don't get any incoming text, and it's like that for a good 2-3 days, every 2 weeks or so. The only messanger service is the blackberrry chat thing. Also, the call log loves to delete itself, I had to call 411 while driving the other day a good 5 times to get the number because it wouldn't store, save in my call log, or the text message T-Mobile sent wouldn't come through. So I am just sick and tired of it, but I'm already going thru BB withdrawl (and I haven't even sold it yet, It's still right in front of me LOL) Even the blackberry help guy said that the pearl is a solid phone but it's annoying to just get a new temp phone because the problems aren't going away! (not even going to mention the fact that picture messages don't come thru, for about the past 2 months or so lol) but I'm just gonna sell it to get the I.D. and when the curve comes out, just go and buy the curve, because I can't wait.

Well, I rambled about nothing, I just wanted to know how many people does this truly happen too?

Have you tried to install a new OS? Also check this out, it might help.

I had the same problems you had, so just upgrade to the new OS and you will be fine...
