I've had the Samsung A707 with a generic car charger and I currently have the Samsung A717 and a AT&T branded car charger. Both have the same problem: When the phone is hooked up to the charger and I get a call or text the phone either stops charger or reboots mid-call.

Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do?

You don't think it is your phone or possibly the generic charger damaged it?

I'm using a AT&T charger now, not generic. I threw the generic one away.

I have the a707 and have a samsung charger. It works great in the car with no issues.

Do you leave it plugged in all the time? In what order do you hook it up? I guess I should have got a Samsung charger and not a AT&T charger. Darn

I usually plug mine into the car and then the phone. I doesn't take long for a full charge in the car so no I don't leave it plugged in all the time. The samsung charger works great.
