HTC Touch: Can Anyone Confirm That It Is Triband???

There has been speculation and rumor that the HTC Touch really is a quadband but only marketed as triband. Thru a contact of mine, a phone call was made to HTC Taiwan and they would neither confirm nor deny this.
If it were only triband, wouldn't they immediately deny that it was quadband and state so???? Why won't they confirm nor deny??? I've got one coming for testing/review in Arkansas, since we rely heavily on 850mhz.
In the meantime, can anyone who owns the Touch shed some light on it's reception and, in your opinion, is it feasible that it really is a quadband???
Thanks

I haven't had reception problems on Rogers at all (which most people say DONT GET NON 850)

Just got mine. I came from the MDA on T-Mobile (1900 mhz). As for reception - it has already proven better. The one location I had call cut ots or a drop on the MDA, the Touch was perfect.

I have no problem with Fido in Toronto/Guelph/Oakville area

If it does indeed have 850mhz, I can sacrifice my GPS functionality on P3300

it's triband, but a strong triband
fieldtest doesn't show any 850mhz

@evilgabbie....thanks for the confirmation. I've never done a fieldtest....can you educate me on how to do that when I get the touch for review? I want to test the bands in my area too. Thanks
