Ok, I have somebody using the change device wizard/option in blackberry desktop manager. She is trying to transfer the contacts etc. from a Palm Treo 700p to her new 8830. I have been told this is possible. She has her palm desktop software running with the 700p connected and reconized. She then has the 8830 connected and reconized thru BB desktop manager. When she tries to run the change device wizard the change device wizard does not detect the 700p. Now this is being told to me over the phone and I cannot see exactly what is happening on her PC she is either getting an error or its just not detected. Any help is much appreciated.

btw im DTS for an unspecified wireless provider, i setup a call back for wed. and I just want to get more info before i have to call her back.

I think the change device is to change from one BB to another.

If she has the Treo, doesn't it sync to her Outlook contacts using the Palm Software? And after she does that, then she can sync her BB to Outlook using the BB Software.
