Getting a Treo tomorrow - 650P or 680P??

I was just laid off and they took away my Treo 650. Although the 650 has some quirks, it was a very useful tool for me - so much so, I am willing to pony up the money to get one of my own since I believe it will help me in my employment search to answer emails, keep a calendar with reminders, etc.

Long story short - should I just get another Treo 650 or should I move up to the Treo 650??

Pros and Cons for me

Treo 650
Pros: the battery life was great for me,
Cons: the 650 was just fine for me, the on board memory was a bit tight but livable, it tended to crash sometimes, the volume of callers was low, it would not take two calls consistently

Treo 650
Pros: I hear it is more stable than the 650
Cons: I read the battery life is a lot less than the 650

Can you help me choose?? I want to get one or the other tomorrow since having a Treo keeps me organized and makes me look smart than I really am - a benefit when job hunting.

Well you mentioned all the pros and cons yourself. I have both and yes the battery life on the 680 does suck even with the extended battery I have, so I have learned to keep a spare battery with me. I actually put my 650 battery in the 680 in the beginning and it actually works but won't charge when I plug in the charger. Yes the 650 is very quirky at times my phone will just turn itself off for no reason at other times it will just reboot itself when it felt like it. So if you can get around the bad battery life get the 680 if you want an adventure and want to save some money get the 650.
