Does anyone know about GPS on the 8525. Cingular tries to charge for this service but I do not think I would need to pay. I have internet service and need a bluettoth GPS Receiver.
DO you have to pay for the service if you already have Internet and use another app. besides Telenav?
Does anyone know the best GPS receiver out right now?
What about uploading Tom Tom, I believe they have an app. to do this but is it only compatible with the Tom Tom bluetooth GPS receiver?
OR is there any other applications for GPS that one can recomend, I think I would like the Tom Tom version because of the view it has, and does anyone know where to get them?
Cheers

Tomtom does not need a tomtom made BT receiver. Try to get a sirf III receiver rather than sirf II. Tomtom works fine for me. No network charges as it does not use the network to operate.

There are a lot of apps and bluetooth gps receivers out there. I use Mapoppolis Navigator and the Sockets bt-gps. It works just fine for my needs. It gives my turn by turn voice announcements. It doesn't have a "3D" viewer, but it is OK.
As far as I know must of the apps out there that are bluetooth enables , are gps independent!!
BTW. the app and all maps reside on my 2GB sd chip

I use Google Maps with a bluetooth GPS for the most part. When I need turn-by-turn directions I use the Windows Live app.
