The latest OS Update for the BlackBerry 8800 4.2.1.164/4.2.1.101 (Vodafone) is now available for download can be found here.

Please note that this OS update is for the BlackBerry 8800 only NOT the BlackBerry 8830.

OK...I've saved the 8800 update to my desktop.

Two questions...

What are the changes/improvements in the 8800, if any?

How do I download it from my desktop to my device?

OK, I checked all the Vodafone sites listed here , and none have this. Also, the version is not listed in the Vendor.xml file.

So where did this originally come from?

I haven't noticed any major differences yet. My BlackBerry 8800 seems a little faster and there is a new version of BlackBerry Maps but that's all I have noticed so far.

To move it from the desktop to the device please review this sticky .
