Anyone use this software? i just bought it and i think its pretty good... any other comments?

I've had it for 3 days, and I have to say I find it somewhat feature-light, although it's hardly expensive.

I made the mistake of turning the stupid charger option on, and have yet to find a way of turning it off. I e-mailed the manufacturers and I got the really helpful reply 'unplug the cable'. Very good.

Regards.

Kiaran, that's what you do so why is it unhelpful? Does it not work?

I read it as being sarcastic.......... I appologise if I was wrong

Actually, I was being sarcastic!

My problem is that, since I first enabled the charge option, the thing doesn't stop! As soon as I plug the cable in, the phone starts charging!

Seeing as the help system doesn't discuss the charge option much (if at all), I was under the impression this is how it works.

However, I've now had another e-mail from Mobile Action, and they inform me that as soon as you unplug the cable from the phone, the charging is disabled until you enable it again via the software. This sort of implies that my cable is screwed somewhat.

As for the features of the software, the fact it doesn't cope with the extra information bits from the phonebook is a major flaw.

If I can get hold of the API for the phone, or whatever standard the interface is based on, then I'll code my own phonebook maintenance functions. Of course this all takes time, which I dont have at the moment....

Regards

Kieran, that's what I thought mate. If your cable doesn't stop charging once you have disconnected it and plugged it back in again then it does sound as if it's not working properly. Mine works as per the e-mail you received hence my first post. Hope you get it sorted.

Problem solved. I unplugged the USB cable from the computer, and the charger reset itself. One annoyance overcome!

I just bought the Mobile Action IrDA device. I can do everything except upload pictures that i have taken on my GD88 to my pc. I am just wondering if the IrDA doesn't support the panasonic GD88.

Posted by: BB88

I emailed them earlier on the IrDA thing, and they said GD88 doesn't support IrDA.......go figure.

I told them GD88 does support IrDA, and I got no reply afterwards.
