How do you force LG CU500 to specific bands? Also, a Canadian roaming question.

Please don't hurt me, I did search...
Any way to force it to 850? Goin to Niagara and I'd like to keep the phone stuck on U.S. towers. I'm pretty sure Rogers and Fido only run on the 1900 up there. I'm also fairly certain that AT&T has 850 service right across the border. If I'm wrong please correct me.
On another note, I was a bit irritated by how AT&T is listing their roaming rates in Canada. Take a look at the following link. Doesn't it make it seem like the golden horshoe area is included as domestic?

As far as I know there is no way to force the phone onto a specific band.

Thanks for the response, I wonder if there is a way to keep it on AT&T towers while in Niagara... hmmmm

I know some phones have manual network selection that would do just that, but it is disabled in the sim. If there is an ATT signal available, your phone should lock onto that first though.

the closest thing to manual network select is to put the phone in engineer mode and switch to different bands. Although theres only two options North American or Europe bands. U can switch it to 3gonly or 2g only. THe number is 277634#*#
